At the point where Kotor and Risan Bays join, lies the small town of Perast, the oldest settlement on the shores of Boka Bay. It was named after the Illyrian tribe Pirusta.
Two islands lie in front of Perast - the natural island of Sveti Djordje (St. George), and the artificial island of Gospa od Skrpjela (Our Lady of the Rocks). This man-made island was being built over centuries. Its base in the depths of the bay conceals hundreds of old sailing ships, which were filled with stones and sunk to form the island.
Paddling in front of Perast and around the islands is a unique experience. This tour offers stops on Our Lady of the Rocks and Stoliv, where you can pause for refreshments and enjoy the view of Perast from the opposite side of the bay.
