Hidden deep within pine forests and surrounded by dolomite cliffs, lies manmade Grahovo Lake. The locals built the lake to accumulate rain and river water, and for the irrigation and cultivation of arable land on the Grahovo plain. The lake is situated 788m above sea level and approximately 45 minutes drive from the coast, making it a perfect escape from the summer heat waves and the peak season beachside flurry. The lake itself is not particularly big, but it is breathtakingly beautiful with the added bonus of always peaceful and calm waters, making it ideal for any beginner stand up paddler.
Our Grahovo Lake tour is different from our other tours because it allows you to cool down in the scorching mid-summer heat, swim and SUP in perfectly clean and calm water. This experience also provides you with an opportunity to explore some of the rural parts of Montenegro, enjoy local food and drink, and still be back on the beach after lunch.
Included: A pick up from your accommodation, transportation, paddling with an instructor and swimming for approx. 2hrs, plus all the necessary paddle boarding equipment including board, paddle, lifejacket, waterproof bags etc.
Optional extras: Lunch stop at an excellent restaurant in Grahovo village that serves traditional cuisine; a walk in the Grahovo Botanical Garden and a visit to the Grahovo WWII memorial park.
